{"id":12713,"date":"2023-11-13T15:36:41","date_gmt":"2023-11-13T14:36:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/in-italy.eu\/uncategorized\/brunello-montalcino-wine-spectator\/"},"modified":"2023-12-14T12:43:30","modified_gmt":"2023-12-14T11:43:30","slug":"brunello-di-montalcino-best-wine-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/in-italy.eu\/en\/in-tavola-en\/brunello-di-montalcino-best-wine-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Brunello di Montalcino best wine in the world 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong>Brunello di Montalcino from the Argiano winery (2018 vintage)<\/strong> has emerged as the best wine in the world 2023 for <strong>Wine Spectator<\/strong>, the &#8216;world wine bible&#8217;, as revealed on 10\/11.<\/p>\n<p>Complementing this magnificent result for Italy are two other labels:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>in fifth place <strong>Taurasi &#8216;Radici&#8217; by Mastroberardino<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>in seventh place <strong>Chianti Classico Marchese Antinori<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Brunello di Montalcino was awarded this accolade for the second time in history, having already received it in 2006 with the Casanova di Neri label (2001 vintage).<\/p>\n<p>Brunello di Montalcino is certainly one of the best known Italian wine labels in the world and <strong>Argiano<\/strong> one of the most representative wineries.<br \/>\nThe distinctive villa dates back to the Renaissance period and was built by the <strong>Sienese Pecci family<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Today, the entire property is owned by the Brazilian financier <strong>Andr\u00e9 Santos Esteves<\/strong>, owner of <strong>Leblon Investiments Fund Ltd<\/strong>, who with a major investment has restored the Argiano winery to its original splendour.<\/p>\n<h2><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-12706 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/in-italy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/alimentando_Argiano-Brunello-Wine-Spectator-300x217.jpg\" alt=\"ll Brunello di Montalcino, annata 2018 della cantina Argiano \u00e8 il vino del mondo 2023.\" width=\"391\" height=\"283\" srcset=\"https:\/\/in-italy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/alimentando_Argiano-Brunello-Wine-Spectator-300x217.jpg 300w, https:\/\/in-italy.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/alimentando_Argiano-Brunello-Wine-Spectator.jpg 580w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 391px) 100vw, 391px\" \/><\/h2>\n<h2>Argiano Winery, producer of the world champion Brunello di Montalcino<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The stellar quality of the <strong>2018 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.argiano.net\/mondo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Argiano<\/a> Brunello di Montalcino<\/strong>,&#8221; the US magazine cites in its presentation, &#8220;is the result of more than <strong>$10 million of investment in the estate over a decade<\/strong>.
