This year’s Nastri d’Argento Tv Series Awards will honor Sabrina Ferilli, making a grand return to RAI with Fausto Brizzi’s Gloria (RAI), Alessandro Borghi and Adriano Giannini for Supersex (Netflix), and the remarkable Gabriele Muccino, who shines as an irresistible guest star in the second season of Call My Agent – Italy (Sky) and Vita da Carlo – Second Season (Paramount+). The awards ceremony will kick off on Saturday, June 1st, celebrating outstanding series.
The event, once again a special occasion for top-tier television, concludes the fourth edition of the award at the Royal Palace of Naples. Organized by the Italian National Syndicate of Film Journalists (SNGCI) in collaboration with the Campania Region Film Commission and supported by the MiC Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual, with main sponsorship from SIAE – Italian Society of Authors and Publishers.
Nastri d’Argento Tv Series: Ferilli, Borghi, and Giannini awarded
Sabrina Ferilli steals the spotlight this year with her passionate performance in Gloria. As one of the season’s standout icons, she delivers a perfect and convincing portrayal. Gloria humorously captures the backstage neuroses of a world unknown to the general audience, with Ferilli’s character—a witty and cynical actress—highlighting its vulnerabilities and obsessions with a touch of irony.
Alessandro Borghi and Adriano Giannini are celebrated for their exceptional portrayal of Rocco Siffredi in Supersex, balancing quality with boldness. Gabriele Muccino earns accolades for his surprising self-irony and playful performances, both in his cult cameo in Vita da Carlo and as a guest star in Call My Agent – Italy.
Nastri d’Argento Tv Series: stars from Doc and Mare Fuori
With four iconic awards from a season filled with captivating performances and stories that have won over audiences, the Journalists also announce honors for rising talents. The prestigious Guglielmo Biraghi Award goes to Giacomo Giorgio, who has been symbolically recognized by Italo for his high-speed journey to success. At just over thirty, Giorgio stands out among emerging actors, having quickly starred in four audience favorites: Mare Fuori, Doc – Nelle tue mani, Noi siamo leggenda, and Per Elisa – Il caso Claps.
Speaking of young talent, the Nastri d’Argento Tv Series spotlight two remarkable newcomers this year, who have quickly showcased their special talents in both music and TV series. Leo Gassmann is celebrated for his extraordinary portrayal of Franco Califano in Alessandro Angelini’s film, while Letizia Toni shines in Cinzia TH Torrini’s Sei nell’anima. Toni delivers an exceptional performance as Gianna Nannini, earning praise from the rockstar herself. This film captures Nannini’s challenging early years and her journey to stardom, winning the trust of a family initially skeptical of her musical talent.
Amidst the glitz and glamour of the Nastri d’Argento TV Series event, “La Storia” takes the coveted title of Series of the Year
On the evening of Saturday, June 1st, all eyes will be on the Royal Palace, a beacon of anticipation in the realm of institutional accolades. Here, Francesca Archibugi’s “La Storia” (Rai) will be hailed, a masterpiece crafted by the pens of Giulia Calenda, Ilaria Macchia, and Francesco Piccolo. The series boasts an ensemble cast of stellar talent, led by the remarkable Jasmine Trinca, alongside luminaries such as Elio Germano, Valerio Mastandrea, Asia Argento, Lorenzo Zurzolo, and the promising newcomer Francesco Zenga.
