A region in north-eastern Italy, it is famous above all for its seaside resorts scattered along the Adriatic coast, favourite destinations for those who love high society and entertainment.
Nevertheless, like all Italian regions, Emilia-Romagna has much to offer in terms of history and culture as well as purely landscape.
It stretches from the Apennines to the Adriatic Sea, with the Po River to the north, constituting a naturalistic area recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Among its main strengths, the area boasts a food and wine tradition worth exploring.
